IIM Mumbai announces ₹25 lakh MBA fee for 2026 batch, ₹50,000 refundable deposit and CAT-2025 eligibility criteria.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has officially announced the MBA fee structure for the 2026–28 batch, informing candidates about programme fees, deposits, and admission requirements. The two-year full-time MBA course will cost ₹25 lakh, along with a refundable caution money deposit.
Students must also pay separate mess charges as per institute rules. Admissions will be based on CAT-2025 scores, and only eligible graduates meeting the required marks criteria can apply for the programme.
The IIM Mumbai has fixed the gross programme fee at ₹25,00,000 per student for the complete two-year MBA course. This amount covers academic expenses for the duration of the programme.
Additionally, students must pay a ₹50,000 refundable Caution Money Deposit at the time of admission. The institute will refund this amount after course completion or adjust it against any pending dues, if applicable.

However, no, mess expenses are not included in the programme fee. As per IIM Mumbai norms, students must pay mess charges separately, and the mess fee has to be paid one year in advance. A separate mess deposit may also be collected during admission.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university. For reserved categories:
- SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 45% marks
The degree must be recognised under the UGC Act, 1956 or the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
All applicants must appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT-2025) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management. Shortlisting and further admission rounds will be based on CAT scores and institute criteria.
After the admission process, shortlisted candidates will be invited for selection rounds and counselling formalities. Selected students must pay the programme fee, caution deposit, and mess advance to confirm their seats. Candidates should keep academic documents, category certificates (if applicable), and CAT scorecards ready during admission.
