New Delhi: IIM Bodh Gaya is training entrepreneurs through the Bihar Chief Minister SC/ST/EBC/Yuva/Mahila Entrepreneurship Scheme in an effort to uphold its social responsibility and comprehend the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the grassroots level. IIM Bodh Gaya has organised and begun training 450 micro-entrepreneurs in 9 batches as part of this Entrepreneurship Scheme.
Each batch would have 50 participants who would receive training from IIM Bodh Gaya's seasoned faculty in a variety of entrepreneurship-related topics, including finance, marketing, human resources, operations, and legal.
The entrepreneurs will be entitled to earn INR 10 Lakhs as seed money for growing their businesses under the scheme. Once the participants have finished their training and given the government a thorough project report on their company plans, the cash will be distributed.
Entrepreneurs can get assistance from IIM Bodh Gaya with their business plans. The participants come from socioeconomically underprivileged groups, and IIM Bodh Gaya wants to support these microentrepreneurs in their pursuit of self-employment. The MBA, IPM, and Ph.D. programmes at the prestigious institution of national significance IIM Bodh Gaya promote the best brains.
The Institute is of the opinion that its operation in Bodh Gaya must lead to an improvement in the ecology as a whole. The training is in line with the goal of IIM Bodh Gaya, which aspires to be socially responsible. IIM Bodh Gaya and the Government of Bihar worked together the previous year to extend their knowledge to train entrepreneurs under this Entrepreneurship Scheme.
As a result, IIM Bodh Gaya has expanded its assistance to include more than 450 programme participants this year as well. With three batches and 150 participants, the first cycle began on May 29, 2023, and it will complete at the end of this month. Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director of the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, officially launched the programme on May 29, 2023.
In her remarks, she emphasised the value of this entrepreneurial training for fostering aspiring businesspeople and their potential to advance the state and society at large. Dr. Sahay expressed appreciation for the surge in the number of female participants this year and asked the attendees to make the most of the time and materials offered during the training period to implant the crucial business acumen and extend it to help them realise their dream of launching their own businesses.
