The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna & Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya, signed an MoU on May 23, 2023.

New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, and the Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya, signed an MoU on May 23, 2023. Dr. Bindey Kumar, director of the IGIMS, and Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, director of IIM Bodh Gaya, both signed the MoU.
The MBA in Hospital & Healthcare Management and the MBA in Digital Business Management are two new full-time residential MBA programmes that IIM Bodh Gaya has just introduced. The institute also provides MBA, IPM, PhD, and short- and long-duration Executive Education programmes.
The curriculum and pedagogy of the MBA in Hospital & Healthcare Management programme, which will begin in June 2023. It will meet the growing need for professionally qualified individuals to occupy managerial and leadership positions in various healthcare business segments.
The Industry Advisory Board for the programme, which is made up of senior executives from well-known companies worldwide, will provide the students with guidance. The project will give participants a one-of-a-kind opportunity for hands-on learning through a four-month immersion in the field.
On the model of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, IGIMS Patna is an autonomous institution that was founded in 1983. It is a public medical school and hospital that offers top-notch graduate and postgraduate medical education and training, as well as cutting-edge medical facilities in the specialised fields of cancer and eye care.
In light of this, these two institutes have joined forces to provide collaborative academic courses, plan global conferences, seminars, and symposiums, and co-host specialised training programmes created, created, and delivered particularly for healthcare professionals.
The MOU aims to promote cooperation for scientific progress and its practical application based on reciprocity, best effort, mutual benefit, and regular communication. This partnership includes organising courses, conceptualising and creating short- and long-term programmes, course materials, and modules, as well as awarding co-branded certificates in fields like business analytics, the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and blockchain in healthcare management, among others.
