Software programmer course (SPC) under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 (PMKVY 4.0) was inaugurated at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya on Monday.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM Bodh Gaya) has taken a significant step by introducing a new skill development course. The software programmer course under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 (PMKVY 4.0) was started at IIM Bodh Gaya.
IIM Bodh Gaya's initiative is a testament to its commitment to fostering excellence.
IIM Bodh Gaya signed a MoU with the Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on July 31, 2023.

The Business school achieved a remarkable milestone as it has become the first-ever IIM to serve as the skill hub for the PMKVY programme.
“SPC consists of two core components – theory and on-the-job training. Theory portion is divided into IT (information technology) and employability skills, focusing on fundamental programming concepts, algorithms, and software application design with an emphasis on HTML 5 for web and mobile development,” a press release from IIM Bodh Gaya stated.
