IIM Bangalore Opens First-Ever UG Admissions for BSc (Hons) Data Science & Economics; Apply by November 20

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has officially opened admissions for its new four-year full-time residential undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2026-27. Applicants can submit their forms between 14 October and 20 November 2025.

The institute is offering two honours degree paths: a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics (with a minor in Data Science and Business) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Data Science (with a minor in Economics and Business). Each programme will begin with an intake of 40 students (so 80 students in total across both streams) for the first batch.

IIM Bangalore UG Admission 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

The IIMB Undergraduate Admissions Test will be held on 13 December 2025, followed by in-person interviews in January 2026. Final offers will be released by 28 February 2026. Admission is contingent upon qualifying for the IIMB UG Admissions Test, followed by a personal interview.

Applicants must be 20 years or younger as of 1 August 2026 and should have completed Class XII or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, with Mathematics as a subject in Class XII and a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics in Class X.

The residential programmes that have been designed in keeping with the National Education Policy (NEP) will be delivered at the Institute’s upcoming Jigani campus, located approximately 30 km from its Bannerghatta campus.
