IIM Bangalore Launches Certificate Program in Leadership Coaching for Executives

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has launched a Certificate Program in Leadership Coaching for working executives and managers. Those interested can apply to the program till February 28, 2024 through the official website eep.iimb.ac.in/course/certificate-programme-in-leadership-coaching/.

IIM Bangalore will begin the nine-month long certificate program from April 1, 2024. Candidates applying need to upload their resume and graduation certificate in the online application portal. The list of shortlisted candidates will be made on March 5 and 12, 2024. The total fees for the course is INR 7,40,000. 

Explaining the objective of the course, Programme Director Prof. Debolina Dutta, faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area of IIM Bangalore, said, “The course has been designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to create an active coaching-based leadership culture in their organizations.”

What is Certificate in Leadership Coaching Program?

The certificate programme in Leadership Coaching is a part-time programme designed for all managers and leaders who seek to develop effective coaching skills. The programme will enable them to catalyze individual strengths, improve motivations and abilities within their teams, encourage resilience, and achieve high performance. Leaders who coach help organizations gain a competitive edge in a dynamic world.

This practice-based programme draws on expert faculty from IIM-Bangalore and Leadership That Works (LTW). After the successful completion of the programme, the participants automatically qualify as IIM-Bangalore EEP Alumni and can obtain ICF certified ACC level coach accreditation.

What is the Program Objective?

The programme will help develop each participant individually, increasing their self-awareness to create an effective coaching presence.

The modules will familiarize participants with effective coaching approaches and methods. Participants will learn to define scopes of coaching engagements and outcome expectations and increase commitment to the transformation of their clients. They will learn to use appropriate methods and tools to support their coaching process. The programme’s rigor will also enable them, with additional inputs, to obtain a well-renowned international coaching certification.

The course content is divided into three modules, with the first module focusing on the essence of coaching and developing individual as well as interpersonal effectiveness. The second module delves into the details of practicing and expanding coaching skills, while the last module allows participants to practically build their ‘Coaching Muscle’.

The programme is suitable for all mid and senior-level professionals, ideally having 15+ years of industry experience and who are working in any function or role.
