IIIT Hyderabad has started the application process for UG admissions 2025 through multiple entry modes. The entrance exam will be conducted on April 19, 2025. Candidates must meet the specified eligibility criteria and complete the application.

IIT Hyderabad is currently accepting applications for UG admissions through different modes i.e. Undergraduate Entrance Examination (UGEE), Special Channel of Admission (SPEC) 2025, Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LEEE), etc. The last date of application is March 26, 2025 for candidates applying via UGEE. The application deadline for candidates getting admitted via the Lateral Entry Entrance Examination is March 31, 2025.

Candidates must have completed 12th grade or an equivalent qualification with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry by June 2025.
Those who completed 12th or equivalent in 2021 or earlier are not eligible to apply.

IIIT Hyderabad UG Admission 2025: Eligibility

Candidates are eligible to apply if they have completed 12th grade or an equivalent qualification by July 2025, with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as core subjects and meet one of the following criteria:

They are currently in the 4th semester of a six-year integrated (12th + B.Tech) program that began after 10th grade.
They have studied at a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) from 6th to 12th grade.

Note: Candidates applying via the UGEE mode are not eligible to apply through the SPEC mode.

IIIT Hyderabad UG Admission 2025: Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the ECD and CSD programs are as follows:

ECD: Candidates who will complete four semesters of B.E./B.Tech. in ECE, ETE, EIE, EEE, IoT, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Electronics & Computer Engineering by July 2025.
CSD: Candidates who will complete four semesters of B.E./B.Tech. in CSE, IT, AI & ML, Data Science, or Software Engineering by July 2025.

Applicants with a strong interest in research and/or an aggregate score of 80% (or 8/10 CGPA) are highly encouraged to apply.

Candidates who are allotted a seat must confirm their acceptance by paying an admission fee of INR 10,000 (non-refundable) along with the first-semester tuition fee of INR 2,25,000 by the specified deadline. The total seat acceptance amount of INR 2,35,000 must be paid online through the official payment portal.

Candidates must complete the payment by the deadline announced with the seat allotment to confirm their admission.
