IIIT Bangalore Admission 2026 Schedule Released @iiitb.ac.in; JEE Main 2026 Rank Mandatory

IIIT Bangalore has released the admission schedule for BTech and Integrated MTech programmes for the academic year 2026–27. Admissions will be based on the best All India Rank obtained in JEE Main 2026 or JEE Advanced 2026.

Candidates must meet the required eligibility conditions and apply online within the given timeline. The institute has also shared important application dates and previous year closing ranks for student reference.

Candidates are advised to complete the application process before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with first-class marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject. Students who are expected to complete their Class 12 by July 2026 can also apply.

In addition, applicants must have a valid JEE Main 2026 score. The final admission will be based on the best All India Rank in JEE Main 2026 or JEE Advanced 2026.

Which Programmes Are Offered For 2026 Admissions?

IIIT Bangalore is offering admission to the following five programmes:

• BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
• BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
• BTech in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI & DS)
• Integrated MTech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
• Integrated MTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

Candidates must indicate their preferred programme at the time of application.

For the 2025 admission cycle, the closing ranks reflected the competitive nature of programmes at IIIT Bangalore. The BTech CSE programme closed at 6942, while BTech AI & DS ended at 8432 and BTech ECE at 8844.

For the integrated courses, IMTech CSE had a closing rank of 7357, and IMTech ECE closed at 9101. These cutoffs were based on JEE performance and may change in 2026 depending on the overall competition and number of applicants.

After the declaration of JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2026 ranks, admissions will be offered based on the candidate’s best All India Rank. Shortlisted students will receive further instructions from the institute and must report to the campus on the specified reporting date with all required documents for verification and admission confirmation.
