The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension of the re-registration deadline for both January and July sessions for the academic year 2026. Candidates can enroll in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes till January 31, 2026, through the official website, ignou.distanceeducationschool.com

As per the official website, the re-registration process is for those who have already enrolled themselves for IGNOU courses and want to continue for a semester or a year. This decision aims to provide relief to thousands of learners across the country, ensuring that eligible students have sufficient time to complete the mandatory process for the upcoming academic cycle.

According to the official notification, Re-registration is mandatory for students to continue their studies, and students who fail to complete it within the deadline may face academic disruption.
