IGNOU July 2026 admission cycle is now open on the official Samarth portal. Fresh candidates can apply until July 15, 2026, while re-registration for continuing students closes on June 30, 2026.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened admissions for the July 2026 session through its Samarth Higher Education Admission Portal. Candidates seeking undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programmes can now register online at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The last date for fresh admission is July 15, 2026.
IGNOU offers flexible distance learning and online education options for students across India. The July 2026 session provides multiple programme choices across various disciplines. Continuing students must complete re-registration by June 30, 2026, with a late fee of Rs 200 applicable after the deadline.

Candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements based on the chosen programme. Undergraduate programmes require 10+2 or equivalent qualification. Postgraduate programmes require a bachelor's degree in relevant field.

How to Apply for IGNOU July Admission 2026?
Candidates must visit the official Samarth portal and click on "NEW REGISTRATION" to begin the application process.
- Create a username between 8-16 characters and an alphanumeric password of the same length.
- Verify your email and mobile number through OTP during registration.
- Keep your APAAR ID ready before filling the application form.
- Upload clear passport-size photograph with white background (less than 100 KB in JPEG format).
- Upload signature in JPEG format (less than 100 KB).
- Upload educational certificates in JPEG/PDF format (less than 200 KB).
- SC/ST/OBC and experience certificates, if applicable, must also be uploaded (less than 200 KB each).

Ensure all documents are scanned from original copies and clearly visible before submission. Provide your own email ID and mobile number for verification. Save and print the completed application form for future reference.
