The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the application deadline for its July 2025 admission cycle to October 15, 2025, for nearly all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online courses. excluding certificate and semester-based programs.

Prospective applicants for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) ODL/online programs now have additional time to register through the official portals and complete their application process.

IGNOU has extended the application deadline for its July 2025 ODL and online programmes till October 15, 2025, giving more time to aspirants to complete the registration process.

The extension covers UG and PG admissions, excluding certificate and semester-based programmes. According to the university, this move aims to provide flexibility to candidates who missed the earlier deadline or are still finalizing their documents. Here’s how you can easily apply:

• Complete your application form by providing academic, identification, and other required details.

• Pay the application / registration fee (if applicable).

What Comes Next After IGNOU ODL/ Online Admissions Registration?

IGNOU has clarified that the latest extension does not apply to certificate-level and semester-based programmes, as their deadlines remain unchanged. Candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, passing Class 12 for undergraduate courses and holding a recognized bachelor’s degree for postgraduate programs.

The university has advised applicants to complete the registration process early to avoid technical issues, document errors, or payment delays near the closing date.

After the application window closes on October 15, IGNOU will begin verifying the submitted forms and documents. Shortlisted candidates will receive updates through their registered email IDs or admission portal accounts.
