ICFAI University Dehradun PhD Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet any one of the following eligibility conditions:

• A Master’s degree (1-year/2-semester after 4-year UG OR 2-year/4-semester after 3-year UG) with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.

  OR

• An M.Phil. degree with at least 55% marks.

  OR

• A 4-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 75% marks.

Final-year Master’s students can also apply, but admission will be provisional, subject to meeting eligibility after final results. Part-Time applicants must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.

ICFAI University Dehradun PhD Admission 2026 Selection Process

PhD admissions will be conducted under three categories:

• Category 1:

  M.Phil. holders or candidates qualified in UGC-NET JRF / CSIR-NET JRF / GATE / CEED or similar national-level tests.

• Category 2:

  Candidates qualified for Assistant Professor through UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / GATE / CEED.

• Category 3:

  Candidates qualified for PhD admission through UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / GATE / CEED (after 14 Dec 2024)

  OR candidates who qualify for IUDRET-2025.

The selection process begins with the shortlisting of applicants, which is determined by individual eligibility criteria and specific category requirements. Following this initial screening, candidates who meet the necessary standards will be invited to participate in a personal interview to further assess their suitability for the programme.
