IBS Hyderabad Opens PhD Admissions 2026; Selection on October 11

ICFAI Business School (IBS) Hyderabad has announced the opening of admissions for its full-time PhD program for the January 2026 batch. The program offers advanced training in research methodology, critical domain knowledge, and academic communication skills.

The selection process will include an entrance test, micro-presentation, and interview, which will be held on October 11, 2025, with results on October 20. Classes of the program will begin on January 1, 2026.

1. An Entrance Test:

• Focus: Research Methods and Questions in the Candidates field of study, or area of interest
• Object: To measure their knowledge of basic statistics and research processes
• Exemption: Candidates who possess a valid UGC NET (Management) certificate will be exempt from this test.

2. A Micro Presentation:

• Duration: 15 minutes
• Format: Power Point Presentation
• Content: Based on topic in the candidates field of study or interest.
• Assessment: Communication skills, clarity of thought, and knowledge of the topic selected.

3. An Interview:

• Focus: Assessing academic motivation, ability to research in a meaningful manner, and commitment to academic study.
• Object: To determine potential fit for academic research, and factors for engaging in their own meaningful research trajectories.
