New Delhi: Hyderabad University has published the list of shortlisted candidates for the MCA program on the official website @uohyd.ac.in. Eligible candidates are invited for the counseling process on August 09 to proceed with the enrollment.

The shortlisting of candidates for MCA Admission was done based on the merit achieved in the NIMCET - 2023 examination. These candidates are eligible for the first semester of M.C.A. in the School of Computer and Information Sciences, Hyderabad University for the Academic Year 2023-2024, provided they meet the minimum qualifications and conditions outlined in the 2023 Prospectus.

Hyderabad University MCA Admission 2023 Counseling: Information and Instructions to Candidates 

  1. Reporting 

Candidates aspiring to take admission at the University of Hyderabad must personally attend the admission counseling on August 9 2023 at 9:30 Hrs. The counseling will be held at the College of Integrated Studies, South Campus, University of Hyderabad. 

It should be noted that no proxy attendance is allowed. Candidates who arrive after the designated reporting hours will not be considered for the admission counseling process. 

  1. Checklist of Documents: 

During the MCA admission counseling process, candidates must ensure to carry the following documents in original along with two sets of photocopies:

  • 10th Certificate
  • 12th Certificate
  • Bachelor's Degree Certificate
  • Bachelor's Degree Marks sheet
  • Recent passport size photo
  • Transfer Certificate & Migration Certificate from the institution last studied
  • Copy of NIMCET Score Card.
  • Signed Medical Declaration, Affidavits, etc. (Annexure I to V) available at http://acad.uohyd.ac.in/downloads/admininst23.pdf
  • Category Certificate – SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PWD certificates, as applicable, for candidates applying under reserved categories.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PH must provide the necessary certificate in the prescribed format issued by a competent authority to support their claim. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of their claim, and their candidature will be summarily rejected.

For OBC-NCL candidates, it is essential to submit the OBC-NCL certificate in the Government of India format, issued on or after 1st April 2020. The format for the certificate is available at the following link

Similarly, EWS candidates should submit their EWS certificate issued on or after 1st April 2023. The format for the EWS certificate can be found at the following link.

After the admission counseling, candidates who are allotted a confirmed seat must pay the Admission and Semester Fee on the same day to secure the seat. The admission fee for the first semester of the course is INR 30,290/- for all candidates except PH candidates who are required to pay INR 5,230/-.

  1. Fee Payment 

The fee concession is applicable to SC/ST candidates from the State of Telangana with parental income less than INR 2,00,000/- (based on the income certificate issued on or after 1-4-2023). Such eligible candidates are required to pay INR 5,230/- as their fee. Later, they can apply for the Telangana Social Welfare scholarship and request a partial fee refund before the end of the 1st semester by submitting the necessary proofs to the academic section.

  1. Consequential Vacancies

If any seats are withdrawn or admissions are canceled for various reasons, the vacancies will be filled with the next eligible candidate in the order of merit, provided they have reported and signed on the attendance sheet on the day of Admission Counselling.

  1. Tie Breaking: 

In case of a tie in the marks obtained in the Entrance/Competitive Exam for a particular seat, the tie will be resolved based on specific criteria at the time of admission. This criterion will be applicable only when two or more candidates obtain the same marks in the Entrance/Competitive Exam and compete for one seat.

  1. The first criterion for selection will be based on the marks obtained in Part - A of the Entrance Exam (if applicable).
  1. The second criterion considers the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree/preceding examination. If the final result is not available, the marks up to the previous year/semester will be taken into account.
  1. The third criterion takes into consideration the marks obtained in the degree examination/public examination immediately preceding the qualifying degree examination.
  1. The fourth criterion involves evaluating the marks obtained in the next lower public examination.

Provisional admission will be granted to the candidates in order of merit after the verification of their academic credentials and other relevant documents.

In case of any disputes or unforeseen/contingency circumstances, the decision of the University will be considered final. Candidates are advised that any form of canvassing or malpractice will result in disqualification or cancellation of candidature.
