New Delhi: HPU Shimla is currently accepting applications for its vocational studies programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, hpuniv.ac.in.

HPU Shimla vocational courses admission is ongoing for the Master in Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), Five Years Integrated Course in Tourism and Travel Management (FYICTTM) and Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) programmes. 

Candidates seeking admission to the programmes can submit their applications till May 13, 2022 for FYICTTM and BHM. For MTTM the last date to apply is May 20, 2022.

To get enrolled in the MTTM and FYICTTM programmes of HPU candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field. However, admission to the BHM programme will be based on 10+2 merit.

HPU Shimla Vocational Programme Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

MTTM Programme

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Except for non-subsidized candidates or students and serving personnel, the maximum age limit is 26 years for boys, 28 years for girls as on July 1, of the year concerned.
  • SC /ST candidates' upper age limit is 29 years.

FYICTTM Programme

  • Students passing BBA in Tourism & Trave or MTTM from any recognized institution.
  • The maximum age limit for the course is 22 years as of 1st July of the year concerned. 
  • In case of SC/ST, the upper age limit will be raised by three years.

BHM Programme

  • Students passing 10+2 in any stream from any recognized institution with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST).
  • The maximum age limit for the course is 22 years as of 1st July of the year concerned. 
  • In case of SC/ST, the upper age limit will be raised by three years.

HPU Shimla Vocational Programme Admission 2022: Selection Process

  • MTTM and FYICTTM Programmes: Selection of candidates will be determined by a written entrance exam comprising 150 MCQs covering general knowledge (general and tourism-related), English, reasoning, quantitative analysis, and data interpretation.
  • BHM Programme: Admission to the BHM programme will be based on 10+2 merit. After that, there will be a group discussion and a personal interview round subject to the number of applications received.

HPU Shimla Vocational Programme Admission 2022: How to Apply?

  • Visit the official application portal of HPU Shimla, at hpuniv.ac.in.
  • Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as name, mobile number, email id etc.
  • Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.
  • Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 
  • Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future references.
