Candidates applying for admission must hold a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks, while a relaxation of 5% is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, and Minority candidates.
The selection process comprises a Written Entrance Test carrying 70% weightage and a Viva-Voce accounting for 30%. However, candidates possessing a regular M.Phil. degree or those who have qualified for NET/SET are exempted from the written entrance examination and will be directly shortlisted for the interview.
Himalayan University PhD Admission 2026 - Fee Details
The Himalayan University application process for the PhD programme is conducted offline through a prescribed application form that must be downloaded and duly filled out by candidates. Applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹2,500, which can be paid online through credit card, debit card or net banking, or in cash at the University’s Accounts Section.
The PhD programme has a minimum duration of three years and a maximum duration of six years. The fee structure includes a registration fee of ₹11,000, semester fees that vary according to the stream, and additional charges for coursework and synopsis evaluation, thesis evaluation, and viva-voce.
