The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has announced the examination date for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026 on November 8, 2025 on the official website, gsebeservice.com. GUJCET 2026 will be conducted on March 29, 2026 (Sunday) at various district-level centers across Gujarat from 10 AM to 4 PM.

GUJCET 2026 is a mandatory common entrance exam, since 2017, for Class 12 Science students seeking admission to Degree Engineering and Pharmacy programmes in Gujarat.

According to GHSHEB, the online application form and information booklet for GUJCET 2026 will be released later on its official website, gseb.org, through a separate notification.

GUJCET 2026 Syllabus

The syllabus for GUJCET 2026 will be based on the current NCERT-based Class 12 Science syllabus prescribed by the board. Since NCERT textbooks for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics have been in use in all GSHSEB-affiliated schools since the 2019 academic session, GUJCET 2026 question paper will be prepared based on the same.

GUJCET 2026 Exam Pattern

GUJCET will comprise multiple-choice objective questions. The exam pattern is as follows:

Physics & Chemistry (Combined Paper)

  • 40 questions in Physics
  • 40 questions in Chemistry
  • Total: 80 questions, 80 marks
  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • OMR Sheet: Single sheet for 80 responses

Biology (Separate Paper)

  • 40 questions, 40 marks
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • OMR Sheet: Separate sheet for 40 responses

Mathematics (Separate Paper)

  • 40 questions, 40 marks
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • OMR Sheet: Separate sheet for 40 responses

The question papers will be available in Gujarati, English and Hindi.
