GIPE GCET 2026 Round 2 Registration Open; Apply by May 21

Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune has opened registration for GCET 2026 Round 2. Candidates can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the official website gipe.ac.in. The last date for registration for Round 2 is May 21, 2026. The GCET Round 2 examination is scheduled for May 31, 2026. Hall tickets for Round 2 will be issued on May 23, 2026 (tentative). Candidates can register through the online application portal at erp.gipe.ac.in/anon_applRegistrationPage.htm.

GIPE offers diverse programs including M.Sc Economics with specializations in Financial Economics, Agribusiness Economics, International Business Economics and Finance, Population Studies and Health Economics, Public Policy, and Geo-politics and Geo-economics. The institute also offers M.A Economics, B.Sc Economics, B.Sc Economics (Data Science), and Post Graduate Program in Financial Economics (PGPFE). Admission is based on CUET (PG/UG) 2026 scores or GIPE GCET 2026 scores. Candidates who have appeared for final degree examination during 2025-26 and whose results are awaited can also apply provisionally.

Postgraduate Programs & Eligibility

M.Sc Economics programs offer 60 seats each with specializations in Financial Economics, Agribusiness Economics, International Business Economics and Finance, Population Studies and Health Economics, Public Policy, and Geo-politics and Geo-economics. M.A Economics program offers 60 seats. Eligibility requires at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) at graduation level. Candidates who have appeared for final degree examination during 2025-26 and whose results are awaited can also apply provisionally. Admission will be based on CUET (PG) 2026 or GCET 2026 scores.

Undergraduate Programs & Eligibility

B.Sc Economics program offers 150 seats. B.Sc Economics (Data Science) program offers 60 seats. Eligibility requires at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates) in 12th Standard board examination or equivalent. Candidates who have appeared for HSC/CBSE/ICSE or equivalent examination during 2025-26 and whose results are awaited can also apply provisionally. Admission will be based on CUET (UG) 2026 or GCET 2026 scores. Candidates must score in General Test (Subject Code 501) and English (Subject Code 101) for CUET.

PGPFE Program & Selection

Post Graduate Program in Financial Economics (PGPFE) offers 40 seats. Eligibility requires a graduate degree in any discipline or stream that includes statistics as one of the courses. Selection for PGPFE is based on interview conducted by GIPE. Candidates do not need to appear for CUET or GCET for PGPFE admission. The selection process is internal and based on GIPE's criteria. Candidates must visit the registration link at erp.gipe.ac.in/anon_applRegistrationPage.htm. Complete the registration form with personal and academic details. Upload required documents as specified in the admission form information. Pay the application fee through online payment gateway. Submit the application before May 21, 2026 deadline. Candidates can apply for both GCET rounds by paying the application fee for each round separately.
