GIET Gunupur has started PhD Winter 2025-26 admissions with the entrance exam on January 18 and interviews in late January.

GIET University, Gunupur has invited applications for its PhD Admission (Winter) 2025-26, and the last date to submit the application form is December 31, 2025. The university will conduct the entrance exam on January 18, 2026, followed by the interview rounds on January 27 and 30, 2026. Candidates can apply for full-time or part-time PhD seats across multiple schools and departments. As per the official notification, eligibility varies by department. Applicants must hold a relevant PG degree with 50–60% marks, depending on the branch. A 5% relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PH candidates.
The university offers PhD seats under several schools such as SOET, SoS, SoMS, SoHSS and SOA, covering Engineering, Sciences, Management, Humanities, and Agriculture disciplines.
Applicants can download the application form from the official website, fill it carefully, and submit it along with relevant documents via email before December 31, 2025. A non-refundable fee of ₹1000 must be paid online through Google Pay, PhonePe, or Net Banking as per the bank details mentioned in the notice.
What is the selection process?
The selection process includes:
- Entrance Test (for non-NET candidates)
- Interview/Viva-Voce conducted by respective departments
- 70% weightage for NET Score and 30% weightage for interview for UGC-NET qualified candidates
- Preference to UGC-NET JRF applicants
Candidates must discuss their research interest during the interview, and the final merit list will be based on combined scores.
