GGSIPU PhD Admission 2026 Shortlist Released @ipu.ac.in; Check Interview Schedule Here

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has officially released the department-wise list of shortlisted candidates for PhD Admission 2026 (Winter Session). Applicants who appeared for the university’s PhD entrance process can now access and download the shortlisted candidates’ list from the official website of GGSIPU.

According to the notification issued by the GGSIPU, the selection process for shortlisted candidates will include interviews, counselling, and document verification. These processes are scheduled to be conducted between January 9 and January 20, 2026, across different departments as per the university’s timetable.

GGSIPU PhD 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for PhD admission at GGSIPU, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Completion of a 1-year/2-semester master’s degree after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
• Completion of a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree with at least 75% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
• Completion of an M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/CEED or similar national-level tests are exempt from the entrance test but must still appear for an interview/viva-voce.

The final selection for PhD admission will be based on candidates’ performance in the interview, academic credentials, research aptitude, and fulfilment of eligibility criteria as per UGC and university norms. The university will publish the final merit list after completion of the interview process.
