Gautam Buddha University will conduct its Ph.D. Entrance Test on January 12, 2025. The application process, which ended on December 30, 2024, was conducted online at pravesh.gbu.ac.in. The college will release admit cards for the exam on January 7, 2025.

GBU University Ph.D. 2024-25 Selection & Eligibility
- Candidates with a Master’s degree in relevant disciplines with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/ Differently-abled/ EWS) or its equivalent grade are eligible for Ph.D admissions.
- Chartered Accountancy/ Company Secretary qualifications along with a graduation degree are equivalent to the post-graduation degree for admission to a Ph.D. Management.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for ST/SC) in the Ph.D. entrance test.
- Candidates have to appear for GBU-ET (Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test). GBU-ET is mandatory for non-JRF candidates.
- Candidates with valid JRF through the UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICAR-ASRB exam can choose not to appear for GBU-ET.
- Entrance test qualified candidates, selection will be based on 70% weightage of entrance test and 30% weightage of personal interview.
- JRF-qualified candidates, selection will be based on Research Aptitude, Research Proposal, and Subject Knowledge.
