The Round 9 decision window opened at 10:00 AM on July 4, 2026. It closes at 09:00 AM on July 5, 2026. Candidates must log in with their COAP credentials to view offers.
Round 9 is an independent decisive round in COAP 2026. Only "Accept and Freeze" and "Reject" options are available. The "Retain and Wait" option is not offered here.
COAP is the joint offer management system for M.Tech admissions to the IITs. It carries offers based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores. Round 10 is the final scheduled round of this counselling cycle.

How to Check the COAP 2026 Round 9 Offer?
Candidates can follow these steps to view their Round 9 offers online.
- Visit the official portal at coap2026.iitr.ac.in.
- Click on the "Candidate Login" tab on the homepage.
- Enter your COAP username and password to sign in.
- Open the Round 9 dashboard to view the active offer.
- Read the offer details, including institute, programme, and specialisation.
- Select your response and submit before the deadline.
What Are the Round 9 Decision Options?
Round 9 gives candidates only two clear choices to select from.
- Accept and Freeze: The candidate confirms this seat as final. No further COAP offers will be considered after this.
- Reject: The candidate declines the current offer. The candidate stays active for Round 10 consideration.
No default action is applied by the portal in Round 9. Candidates who miss the deadline lose their current offer. A rejected offer cannot be reclaimed later in the same round.
