GATE COAP 2026 Round 4 Offers Released; Decision Window Open till June 3

IIT Roorkee has released GATE COAP 2026 Round 4 offers. Candidates can now access their offers on the COAP portal at coap2026.iitr.ac.in and make their decisions until June 3, 2026 (9:00 AM).

The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP 2026) is a centralized platform coordinated by IIT Roorkee for M.Tech. admissions across 24 participating institutes including IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and others. Round 4 offers represent the fourth phase of seat allotment in this multi-round counselling process.

GATE COAP 2026 Round 4 Important Dates

Candidates in Round 4 have three distinct options to choose from. Accept & Freeze finalizes your admission offer immediately, ending further participation in subsequent rounds. Retain & Wait allows you to hold your current offer while remaining eligible for better options in future rounds, but this option cannot be selected more than twice for the same offer.

Reject & Wait lets you decline the current offer and continue waiting for offers in upcoming rounds. Important note: If you do not take any action by the deadline, all offers in Round 4 are automatically considered rejected.

How to Access and View GATE COAP 2026 Round 4 Offers?

• Log into your COAP account using your GATE registration credentials and COAP ID.
• Navigate to the "My Offers" section to view all offers from participating institutes.
• Each offer displays the institute name, program, category, and seat details clearly.
• Review all offer details carefully before making your decision.
• Verify the program specialisation, institute location, and other relevant information matches your preferences and eligibility.

Candidates should evaluate their GATE exam score against cutoff trends from previous rounds. Consider the institute's reputation, program specialisation, placement records, and location before finalizing your choice.

If you received multiple offers, prioritize based on your career goals and long-term aspirations. Remember that Accept & Freeze is a final decision, so use this option only when completely certain.

What’s Next for Students

Round 5 will commence on June 6, 2026 (10:00 AM) with a decision window until June 10, 2026 (9:00 AM). Candidates who selected Retain & Wait in Round 4 will be eligible for Round 5 offers if they meet the criteria.

Subsequent rounds (6-10) will follow with progressively stricter options, eventually allowing only Accept & Freeze or Reject choices. The final Round 10 is scheduled for July 11-12, 2026, for participating institutes that continue beyond Round 9.
