The GATE 2026 scorecard will be valid for three years from the date of result declaration and can be used for higher education and job opportunities during this period.

The GATE 2026 result has been officially declared on the GOAPS portal by IIT Guwahati. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check and download their results by logging in with their enrolment ID/email address and password on the official website @gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
The GATE 2026 scorecards will be available for download from March 27, 2026, on the official portal. Candidates can download their scorecards free of cost until May 31, 2026. Thereafter, scorecards can be accessed from June 1 to December 31, 2026, by paying a fee of ₹500 per test paper.
The GATE 2026 examination was conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 for a total of 30 papers. The exam was held in two shifts in computer-based (CBT) mode, with around 7 lakh candidates appearing for it.

Based on previous year trends, the expected GATE 2026 cut-off range helps candidates understand the qualifying benchmark across major branches.

GATE 2026 Counselling & Admission Process
GATE scores are used for admission to PG programmes such as M.Tech, M.E., and PhD at institutes including IITs, NITs, and other centrally funded institutions. GATE 2026 scores will also be used for recruitment in various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) across India.
GATE COAP 2026 (For IITs & PSUs)
GATE COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) is used for:
- Admission to M.Tech programmes in IITs
- Accepting job offers from participating PSUs
Candidates must register on COAP to view and accept offers from IITs and PSUs.

GATE CCMT 2026 (For NITs, IIITs & GFTIs)
GATE CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan) is conducted for:
- NITs
- IIITs
- GFTIs and CFTIs
Candidates need to apply separately on the CCMT portal for seat allotment in these institutes.
