IIT Roorkee is going to conduct GATE 2025 15 February examination in two shifts. GATE 2025 15 Feb shift 1 is conducted for CY, AE, DA, ES, PI papers from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and shift 2 for EC, GE, XH, BM, and EY from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
IIT Roorkee has conducted the GATE 2025 February 15 exam in two shifts. The afternoon session ends at 5:30 PM for EC, GE, XH, BM, and EY. Based on initial feedback for candidates, the paper analysis and memory-based question paper will be available here. The forenoon session has been conducted from 9.30 AM to 12:30 PM for CY, AE, DA, ES, and PI papers. “In view of the Mahakumbh, the GATE 2025 examinations on 15 th and 16 th February 2025, scheduled in Prayagraj, will now be conducted in Lucknow on the same dates.”
The earlier sessions of GATE 2025, conducted on the 1st and 2nd of February 2025, were moderately difficult. Students about to appear for the GATE 2025 Feb 15 and 16 exams must follow the guidelines issued by the conducting authority for GATE 2025.
GATE 2025 Negative Marking

According to students’ feedback, overall the exams were balanced, with a mix of easy, moderate, and challenging questions across various subjects.
- GATE 2025 DA paper was slightly lengthy and moderate difficulty with major contributions coming from core topics such as Data Structures and Algorithms.
- GATE 2025 EC paper was tough and lengthy, maths was easy. Questions were asked from topics like Digital electronics, signals and control systems.

GATE 2025 Exam Day Guidelines
Students must follow the below-mentioned guidelines for GATE 2025 examination.

Students must reach the examination center 60 minutes before the examination.

Candidates coming 30 minutes late for the examination after the examination starts will not be allowed to enter the examination center.

Students must sit in their respective seats 40 minutes before the examination starts.

Login process and instruction review must be started 20 minutes before the examination.

Students will not be allowed to leave the examination center before the completion of the examination.
Documents Required for GATE 2025 Examination
Students must carry all the required documents for GATE 2025 exam. Listed below are the documents that students must carry while appearing for GATE 2025 examination.

A valid photo ID proof (Aadhar card, driving license, passport, PAN card, etc.).

Candidates must carry two passport-size photographs in case the photograph on the GATE admit card 2025 or ID proof is unclear,

Virtual Calculator for GATE 2025 Examination
Students will be provided with a virtual calculator during the examination. Aspirants must practice using a virtual calculator while appearing for GATE 2025 mock tests.

Candidates reported that the GATE ECE 2025 paper was tough and lengthy. Maths was easy, but there were 4-5 time consuming questions. Many conceptual questions were asked.
Overall, the GATE 2025 Feb 15 Shift 2 papers were moderately difficult. However, the EC paper was difficult and time consuming.

No, there is no sectional time limit in GATE 2025 exam. The exam duration is 3 hours for all papers.
