The Indian School of Business leads among Indian B-schools, while IIMs and other top institutes have also shown strong global performance.

Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2026 Out

The Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2026 have been released, and Indian business schools have once again performed strongly at the global level. A total of nine institutes from India have secured places in the top 100, showing the growing popularity and recognition of Indian MBA programmes worldwide. These rankings are based on factors such as salary, career growth, international exposure and alumni network.

Among them, the Indian School of Business (ISB) is the highest-ranked Indian institute at 12th position. It is followed by IIM Ahmedabad at 27th and IIM Bangalore at 34th. Other institutes in the top 100 include IIM Calcutta (53rd), IIM Lucknow (58th), IIM Indore (62nd), IIM Kozhikode (65th), SPJIMR Mumbai (74th) and XLRI Jamshedpur (82nd). This strong performance highlights the increasing global demand for Indian management education and better career opportunities for MBA graduates.

FT MBA Rankings 2025 vs 2026: Indian Institutes Performance

Compared to 2025, the 2026 rankings show a notable improvement in the global standing of several Indian institutes. The Indian School of Business has made a significant jump from 27th to 12th position. Similarly, IIM Bangalore has improved its rank from 57 to 34, reflecting better alumni outcomes and international mobility.

On the other hand, some institutes have seen a slight decline or stable performance. For instance, IIM Ahmedabad moved from 31 to 27 but continues to remain among the top global programmes. Institutes like IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow and IIM Indore have shown moderate improvement, maintaining their global competitiveness.
