Delhi Technological University (DTU) has announced that registrations are open for its PhD programmes for the 2026 session. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications by December 7, 2025.

The university offers doctoral research across engineering, science, management and humanities disciplines, with options for full-time, part-time and sponsored categories. Applicants are encouraged to check the detailed eligibility criteria and research areas carefully before applying.

DTU’s PhD programmes span departments such as Applied Chemistry, Computer Science & Engineering, Management, Design, Environmental Engineering and more. Candidates should hold a relevant master’s or equivalent qualification, meeting the minimum marks/CGPA as specified by the university. Applications are done online only via DTU’s admissions portal.

DTU offers several admission categories for its PhD programme, including options for candidates seeking university fellowships, those applying without fellowship support, sponsored full-time positions, and part-time pathways suited for working professionals.

These categories allow flexibility for researchers from academic, industrial and professional backgrounds. The university also supports research through centres of excellence, advanced laboratories, and interdisciplinary facilities that help students work on innovation-driven and industry-relevant projects.

After online registration, shortlisted candidates may have to appear for an entrance test or interview, depending on category and department. The university may waive the entrance test for candidates holding national-level fellowships like UGC-NET/JRF, GATE etc.

Selected candidates will then complete document verification, pay admission fees, and submit a joining report. Keep original certificates and mark-sheets ready.
