Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Tiruchirappalli has announced the opening of PhD admissions for the January 2026 session in full-time and part-time modes. Eligible candidates can apply for doctoral programmes across multiple disciplines offered by the university.
The last date to submit the application form is January 12, 2026, while the online entrance examination is scheduled for January 25, 2026. Admissions will be completed through an entrance test followed by an interview round.

Who Can Apply for DSU PhD Admission 2026?
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the relevant subject for full-time and part-time PhD programmes. A 5% relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and differently abled candidates. However, for Agricultural Sciences, candidates must have 60% marks, with no relaxation applicable.
The selection process includes an online-based entrance examination, followed by a personal interview. Candidates with a valid score in CSIR/UGC-JRF/NET/GATE/GPAT/ASRB NET or other national-level eligibility tests are exempted from the entrance exam but must appear for the interview.
Selected full-time PhD scholars will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000 for a maximum duration of three years. Candidates qualified in GATE/CSIR/NET/SET/GPAT/ICAR will be eligible for a higher stipend of Rs. 35,000 per month. Additionally, a contingency grant of Rs. 50,000 per annum will be provided to support research activities.
