Dr. Abhijit H. Joshi has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University. He was welcomed by Dr. Virinder Singh, the Chancellor's Advisor.

New Delhi: Dr. Abhijit H Joshi took over as the vice chancellor of Mandi Gobindgarh's Desh Bhagat University on July 4, 2023. Dr. Virinder Singh, the Chancellor's Advisor, welcomed Dr. Joshi with flowers.
He also greeted other guests, including Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Provost, Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-President.
Dr. Zora Singh expressed his satisfaction at having a distinguished individual among the DBU officials, as this would help the university's standing and development. Dr. Joshi expressed his happiness and honour at being a member of Desh Bhagat University, which has achieved renown for its dedication to in-depth learning, high-quality instruction, and career-focused training.
He promised to work hard to contribute to the expansion and growth of DBU, not just in Punjab but also throughout India and the rest of the world given its tremendous potential. When announcing the new VC, Dr. Pramod Mandal, the Controller of Examinations, stated that Dr. Joshi was the previous Dean of the Faculty of Ayurveda and Professor and Head of the Department of Ayurveda and Yoga at the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth in Pune.
Dr. Joshi has about 23 years of professional experience, including institution construction, administration, teaching, and research. He is a well-known professor who is particularly well-known in the academic and administrative fields for his logical and pragmatic approach to even the most challenging circumstances.
In addition to being a skilled administrator and academic, he said that Dr. Joshi had received numerous honours and distinctions. Since 2017, he has been a member of the NAAC peer team. He has won numerous awards, including the Presidential Award, the Pride of India 2021 Award, the Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman in 2019 Young Scientist Award, and more.
