Dibrugarh University has reopened the ERP portal for Ph.D. 2024 admissions for both DURAT-qualified and DURAT-exempt candidates. Enrollment will be confirmed only after the INR 950 application fee is paid.

Dibrugarh University PhD Program Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to apply for the Dibrugarh University PhD program must be eligible as per the criteria mentioned below:

  • A master's degree with at least 55% of the total points. Up to 5% of the scores in reserved categories may be relaxed.
  • Every applicant, except for international students, must pass the Dibrugarh University Research Admission Test (DURAT), which is administered by the university once a year.
  • Candidates who have passed M.Phil. programs (regular mode in the relevant topic) or who have qualified for the GATE, UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), UGC-NET (including JRF), SLET, or GPAT are not required to take the DURAT. However, to be admitted, these individuals must apply under the university's notification and show up for a viva voce or interview.
  • A candidate with a valid JRF/GATE score and a B.E./BA tech degree may also be considered for admission to a PhD program.

  • Viva-voce: An interview with 30% weight that is carried out by the appropriate department or research center

  • Admission: Based on later notifications, chosen applicants are admitted.
  • Document verification: The appropriate offices validate the original documents to verify entrance.
