Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) has opened online applications for four-year B.Tech and two-year M.Tech programmes for the 2026-2027 academic session.

Eligible candidates can apply through the DUIET Admission 2026 Portal on dibru.ac.in starting April 30, 2026. The last date for online application submission is June 30, 2026, at 11:55 P.M., with a registration fee of Rs. 1,000 per application.

Dibrugarh University is inviting applications from fresh and lateral entry candidates for engineering programmes with specializations in emerging technologies.

The B.Tech program includes Computer Science & Engineering (with Minor in AI and Machine Learning), Electronics & Communication Engineering (with Minor in IoT and Data Science), Mechanical Engineering (with Minor in Additive Manufacturing), and Petroleum Engineering.

All B.Tech students will have the opportunity to study Drone Technology through the Centre of Excellence (CoE) established through AICTE. M.Tech programmes are offered in Computer Science & Engineering (AI and Machine Learning specialization), Electronics & Communication Engineering (IoT and Sensor Systems specialization), Mechanical Engineering (Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization), and Petroleum Engineering.

Candidates applying for B.Tech must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). Chemistry is not mandatory for CSE and ECE. D.Voc. candidates in related fields are also eligible.

Applicants need a valid CEE Assam 2026 or JEE Main 2026 score and must be aged 17–21 years (relaxation for SC/ST). For M.Tech, candidates require a B.E./B.Tech with 60% marks or valid GATE score; relevant M.Sc. holders may apply.

Lateral entry requires a diploma or B.Sc. with Mathematics. Applicants must be Indian citizens, physically fit, and meet residency requirements.

Dibrugarh University B.Tech/M.Tech Selection Process

All applications must be submitted through online mode only via the DUIET Admission 2026 Portal on dibru.ac.in; no other application method will be accepted. B.Tech selection will be based on CEE-2026 or JEE-2026 performance along with minimum eligibility criteria fulfillment.

M.Tech applicants with valid GATE scores can apply directly without entrance examination, while non-GATE candidates must appear in the institute's entrance examination.

Reservation and relaxation policies will follow Government Rules. Cut-off marks and counselling schedules will be notified separately by the university.
