Delhi University to Celebrate Teachers Day by Organising Event on 'Role of Teachers in Nation Building'

Delhi University will organise a special program to celebrate Teacher’s Day with the Value Addition Curriculum (VAC) Committee and Bharat Vikas Parishad jointly on September 5, 2023, on the theme of 'Role of Teachers in Nation Building'.

New Delhi: Delhi University will organise a program with the Value Addition Curriculum (VAC) Committee and Bharat Vikas Parishad on September 5, 2023. The program will be conducted to celebrate Teachers Day 2023 and highlight teachers' role in nation-building.

As per Delhi University, the special Teachers Day event will include speeches and deliberations on several topics relating to education and the role of teachers in nation-building. A book will be released to mark the occasion. 

The program coordinator, Professor Niranjan Kumar, Chairman of the Value Addition Courses Committee and Dean (Planning), DU, stated that this is the first event that the university will host after a decade.

Kumar further expressed that Delhi University is continuously and diligently engaged in the all-round development of the nation. The University of Delhi Vice Chancellor, Yogesh Singh, will preside over the event.

Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, former Sarkaryavah, will deliver the opening address. RSS Arjun Ram Meghwal and other esteemed guests like Suresh Jain, National Organising Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Adarsh Goyal, former Supreme Court Justice, will be present at the event as chief guests.

The event will also be attended by several national-level dignitaries from the academic world, law, industry, police, and administration, including the Vice-Chancellors of various universities. The program would also include professors, researchers, principals, deans, and heads of departments.

Meanwhile, Delhi University has started admissions to Sports Supernumerary quota round 2 for several UG programs 2023- 2024. The university has also released the DU Sports Supernumerary quota round 2 schedule online on the official website, admission.uod.ac.in.
