DCET 2026 Counselling Mock Allotment Result Released; Check Steps to Modify Options

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) 2026 mock seat allotment result on the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The trial allotment link went live on August 6, 2026, for all registered candidates.

Candidates can now check their probable seat allotment based on the choices already entered and their DCET merit rank. The mock result is only indicative and does not confirm final admission. It is intended to help candidates refine their preferences before the final seat allotment.

To access the result, candidates must log in using their DCET application number and secret key or password. The direct login link is available on the KEA counselling portal under the DCET 2026 section.

How to Check the DCET 2026 Mock Allotment Result?

Candidates can follow the steps below to view their mock seat allocation on the KEA portal:

1. Visit the official KEA website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/dcet2026.
2. Click on the DCET 2026 mock allotment result link dated 06-08-2026.
3. Enter your DCET application number and secret key or password.
4. Submit the details to view the probable college and course allotted.
5. Download the mock allotment slip and save a copy for future reference.

The counselling process is being conducted according to a fixed KEA schedule. The important dates announced so far are listed below.

How to Modify Options After the Mock Allotment?

The mock allotment result is designed to help candidates modify and improve their submitted preferences. Candidates who are not satisfied with the probable seat can revise their choices during the option-editing window on the KEA portal.

1. Log in to the option entry portal using your credentials.
2. Review the courses and colleges currently included in your preference list.
3. Add new preferences, delete unwanted options or reorder existing choices.
4. Save the updated preference list before the deadline announced by KEA.
5. Take a printout of the final saved option list for future reference.

Candidates must remember that the final seat allotment will be prepared strictly according to the last saved options. Any preference not properly saved before the deadline may not be considered by the allotment system.

Seat Matrix and Document Verification

KEA had earlier released three separate seat matrix documents on July 28, 2026. These cover:

• Regular DCET seats
• Working professional category seats
• Architecture seats under regular and lateral-entry streams

The verification slip download links are available on the KEA portal for both regular candidates and working professional candidates. KEA has also published the document verification schedule for each category on the same portal.
