The Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU) has opened applications for its PhD programmes (Winter Batch 2025).

Research scholars can apply online by December 31, 2025. The entrance test for applicants will be held on January 10 2026.

DBUU PhD 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for a PhD at DBUU, a candidate must meet the following eligibility standards (as per 2025 admission guidelines):

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree (or a professional degree equivalent to a Master’s, as recognised by relevant statutory bodies) in the relevant discipline.

They must have secured at least 55% marks (aggregate) or equivalent grade in the qualifying post-graduate examination.

A relaxation of 5% marks may be granted to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) or differently-abled categories.

DBUU PhD 2026 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for PhD admission at DBUU involves the following steps:

Candidates who have already qualified in national or relevant exams such as UGC-NET (JRF), CSIR-SLET, GATE, or GPAT (with a valid scorecard) are exempted from the DBUU entrance test.

Other candidates (who do not have any of the above scores) must appear in DBUU’s own Research Entrance Test, followed by an interview.

Candidates with a regular M.Phil. (with a minimum of 55% marks) from a recognised institution are also considered eligible. Additionally, certain reserved-category candidates are granted a relaxation.

DBUU PhD Admission 2026- How to Apply?

1. Visit the online admissions portal at apply.dbuu.edu.in.

2. Fill in the online application form carefully. Upload required documents, 10th mark sheet (date of birth proof), 10+2 mark sheet, graduation/post-graduation mark sheets or certificates, category certificate (if applicable), and a passport-size photograph (as per specifications: 30 mm × 45 mm, max 80 KB).

3. Pay the application fee (₹1,500) and admission fee (₹7,000) via Net-Banking, Credit/Debit card or e-wallets at the time of submission.

4. Once submitted successfully, a unique application number will be generated. This serves as the reference for all future communications.

5. Shortlisted candidates (based on eligible scores or after the entrance test) will be called for an interview/document verification. Selected candidates must bring original documents for final admission.
