The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has opened the second intake for PhD Admission 2026 at admissions.cusat.ac.in. Eligible candidates must submit their applications to the respective departments by July 5, 2026.
This intake covers full-time and part-time research positions. Applications are routed directly to the concerned department or research centre. The university has 29 Schools, Departments and Centres. It also has 22 recognised research centres.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in the relevant subject. The minimum requirement is 55 percent marks at the postgraduate level. The qualifying degree must be from a CUSAT-recognised university.
Selection is based on the Department Admission Test (DAT). The DAT carries a written paper and a personal interview. A minimum of 50 percent marks in the DAT is mandatory.
Candidates with valid UGC NET, CSIR NET or GATE scores are exempt. They skip the written test and appear directly for the interview.
