New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the CUET UG 2024 exam has been rescheduled for all exam centres in Delhi. The Agency has made the announcement a day before the exam which was scheduled for May 15, 2024.

As per the official statement, the decision has been taken ‘due to unavoidable circumstances’. The CUET UG 2024 examination will now be conducted in Delhi on May 29, 2024. The agency will also release revised admit cards for candidates from the state of Delhi.

"It is being informed to all the concerned candidates and stakeholders that due to unavoidable reasons, the test papers (Chemistry - 306, Biology - 304, English - 101, and General Test - 501) which were earlier scheduled on 15 May 2024 stand postponed for the candidates appearing in Centres across Delhi only," the NTA said in a statement.

UGC India has taken to twitter and said:

It has also cleared that the CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted as per the previous schedule in all the exam centres across the country including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida. For the first time this year, the test for 15 subjects with the most registrations will be conducted offline, while the rest will be computer-based.

Each test will be conducted in one shift or one day unlike the last two editions of CUET when tests in the same subject were conducted over different days in different shifts. 1.34 million students have registered for the exam this year. The offline tests will be conducted first between May 15 and May 19, and after that, computer-based tests for other subjects will be conducted between May 21 and May 24, 2024.

Recently, on May 13, NTA had issued admit cards for CUET UG 2024. However, in the evening NTA issued another notice for candidates requesting them download the hall tickets only after May 14 evening. “Candidates are advised to download the admit card on May 14th Evening so that any changes in the Examination Centre due to administrative reasons may be reflected in the admit card,” an official notice from NTA stated.
