CUET PG 2026 cutoff will not be released by NTA in one centralized list. Instead, each participating university will release its own course-wise and category-wise cutoff, depending on their individual admission schedules.

CUET PG 2026 Expected Cutoff for DU, JNU, BHU, Pondicherry University, Sikkim University

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the CUET PG 2026 Result on April 24, and candidates can now access their scorecards through the official portal. With results out, the focus has shifted to the expected cutoff marks for admission into top central universities such as the University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Banaras Hindu University, and Jamia Millia Islamia.

Since CUET PG does not have a centralized counselling process, each participating university releases its own course-wise and category-wise cutoff list. Based on previous year admission trends, experts suggest that cutoffs for 2026 may remain high, especially for high-demand programmes like MA English, MBA, MSc Physics, MSc Chemistry, LLB, and Economics.

A score above 220 is generally considered competitive for top universities, while highly sought-after courses may require 240–280+ marks depending on the university and category. Based on previous year cutoff trends, JNU shows the most competitive cutoffs (27-99 marks for General), while Delhi University and Pondicherry University offer broader ranges (5-285 and 7-293 marks respectively), reflecting varying admission standards across premier institutions.

  • Cutoff marks differ substantially across reserved categories. OBC category cutoffs typically range 5-15% lower than General category marks.
  • SC and ST categories show further reductions, ensuring equitable access to quality education.
  • EWS category cutoffs generally align closely with General category standards, reflecting recent policy implementations.
