CUCET 2026 Phase 1 Registration Extended Again

The Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) Phase 1 registration deadline has been extended once again, giving candidates additional time to complete their applications. As per the latest update, interested students can now register for CUCET Phase 1 till February 28, 2026. The extension aims to provide an opportunity for more candidates to apply for admission to various UG and PG programmes offered by Chandigarh University for the 2026 academic session.

Along with the extension of the application deadline, the university has also confirmed that the last date to appear for the CUCET Phase 1 examination is March 1, 2026. The entrance test will be conducted in an online mode, allowing candidates to take the exam from their homes within the available test window. The exam serves as a gateway for admission as well as scholarship opportunities based on performance.

CUCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for CUCET 2026 must meet the minimum eligibility requirements set by Chandigarh University before filling out the application form. The basic eligibility criteria for different courses are given below:

Course Eligibility
UG Courses Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
PG Courses Candidates must have completed graduation with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university.
Lateral Entry Courses Candidates must have a diploma or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
