CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru has released applications for its PhD programme under AcSIR for January 2026. The application window will be closed on October 21, 2025.
The Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, has announced admissions to its January 2026 PhD programme in collaboration with the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). Candidates are advised to apply online before the application window closes on October 21, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be informed between November 13 - 18, 2025.

CSIR-CFTRI PhD Admissions 2026 Eligibility
- For PhD in Science (Biological/Chemical) candidates must have either a Master's degree in science with a minimum 55% marks or 4-year Bachelor's degree with a minimum 75% marks for General/UR/EWS.
- For PhD in Engineering candidates must have either a Master's degree in Engineering/Technology after 4-year degree or integrated 5-year B.Tech/M.Tech with a minimum 55% marks or a B.E./B.Tech. degree with a minimum 75% marks.
- Eligible Categories:
- Valid National-level Fellowship (JRF/SRF from CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DBT, DST, etc.)
- Equivalent Fellowships like INSPIRE, DBT-BET, RGNF
- Industry Sponsored Candidates with NOC from current employer
- Self-sponsored (only for Engineering stream)
Note: Applying candidates with result awaited, shall also be allowed. Admission will be provisional, pending eligibility verification.

CSIR-CFTRI PhD Application Process 2026
- Visit the official AcSIR portal and register/fill out the online application form
- Upload the required documents such as educational certificates, fellowship proof, etc.
- Pay the application fee as per category (General/OBC/EWS - ₹1000 and SC/ST/PwD - ₹500).
- Submit the form before the deadline: October 21, 2025
