Who Is Eligible for COMEDK Round 2?

Round 2 is reserved only for KKR category candidates. These are students who are locals of the Kalyana Karnataka Region. They must hold a valid eligibility certificate under Article 371(J).

General Merit and other reserved category applicants cannot participate this round. Only KKR seats that stayed vacant after Round 1 are on offer.

About Article 371(J) and the KKR Region

Article 371(J) is a special provision in the Indian Constitution. It reserves seats in education and jobs for locals of the region. The area covers six districts of North Karnataka.

These districts are Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal, and Ballari. The eligibility certificate is issued by the local revenue authority. Candidates must upload this document during counselling verification.

How to Fill Choices for COMEDK Round 2?

The choice filling process is done on the counselling dashboard. The window closes on August 6, 2026 before midnight.

  • Visit the official portal at comedk.org.
  • Log in using the counselling user ID and password.
  • Open the choice filling section on the candidate dashboard.
  • Select preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.
  • Review the list and lock the choices before the deadline.

Candidates are advised to add as many valid choices as possible. A wider list improves the chance of a preferred allotment. Once locked, the choices cannot be changed later.

What Happens After Seat Allotment?

The seat allotment result is declared on August 7 at 4 PM. Candidates must log in to check their allotted college and course. Those with an allotment must decide within the given window.

Only candidates who Accept and Freeze the seat move forward. The fee payment link opens with the allotment result on August 7. Payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. Offline challan based payment is also available on the portal.

Candidates who wish to withdraw can use the cancellation link. The link stays active till August 11 at 3 PM. Missing the August 11 reporting deadline will cancel the allotted seat.

Documents Required at College Reporting

Candidates must carry a set of original documents to the allotted college. This applies only to those with an Accept and Freeze status. Missing any document may lead to admission cancellation.

  • COMEDK UGET 2026 admit card and scorecard.
  • COMEDK verification card and Round 2 allotment letter.
  • Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and passing certificates.
  • Article 371(J) eligibility certificate for the KKR category.
  • Government photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN, or passport.
  • Fee payment receipt for the tuition amount paid online.
Why This Round Matters

Round 2 is a rare region specific counselling window. It gives KKR candidates a second chance at seats under Article 371(J). The provision aims to correct educational imbalance in North Karnataka districts.

Action Plan for Candidates

  • Log in to comedk.org before August 6, 2026.
  • Keep the KKR eligibility certificate under Article 371(J) ready.
  • Fill and lock all preferred choices during the two day window.
  • Check the seat allotment result on August 7 at 4 PM.
  • Pay the tuition fee online and download the allotment letter.
  • Report to the allotted college with documents by August 11.
