How to Access the Answer Key?
Candidates can access the COMEDK 2026 provisional answer key by logging into their accounts on the official COMEDK website at comedk.org. They need to use their application number and password to access the candidate portal. Once logged in, candidates will find the answer key along with their response sheet, allowing them to compare their answers with the official key.
The answer key will display all 180 questions along with the correct answers for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections. Candidates can review their performance by comparing their marked answers with the official answer key. This transparent approach enables candidates to identify any potential discrepancies and file objections if they believe certain answers are incorrect.

Objection Filing Process
Candidates who wish to challenge any answer in the provisional answer key can file objections during the window from May 16 to May 18, 2026. The objection filing process is conducted entirely online through the candidate portal. For each objection raised, candidates must pay a fee of INR 500 per objection through the online payment gateway.
When filing an objection, candidates should provide detailed reasoning explaining why they believe the answer is incorrect. Supporting evidence such as reference materials, textbook citations, or logical explanations should be included to strengthen the objection. The COMEDK academic committee will review all objections and determine their validity based on the evidence provided and expert consultation.
It is important to note that candidates who have multiple objections (for example, 5 objections) need to pay INR 2,500 (INR 500 per objection) along with the relevant details through the online form. Refunds will be provided only if objections are upheld by the COMEDK academic committee.
Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
COMEDK UGET 2026 followed a structured examination pattern designed to assess engineering aptitude comprehensively. The examination consisted of three papers covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 60 multiple-choice questions in each subject, totalling 180 questions. Each correct answer was awarded 1 mark, with no negative marking for incorrect answers, resulting in a total of 180 marks.
The examination was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode in English medium only. Candidates had 3 hours (180 minutes) to complete the entire examination. The test pattern was based on the CBSE syllabus, with approximately 33% weightage to Class 11 topics and 67% weightage to Class 12 topics.
Colleges and Programmes Covered
COMEDK UGET 2026 results are applicable for admission to B.Tech/B.E. programmes offered by approximately 150 member institutions across Karnataka and other states.
The examination provides access to around 20,000 engineering seats across participating institutions. The admission process is merit-based, with seat allotment determined by candidates' rank in the COMEDK merit list, their preferences, and seat availability.
Result Declaration and Next Steps
The COMEDK 2026 result will be declared on May 29, 2026 at 4 PM. Rank cards and score cards will be made available through candidate login portals. Candidates will need to download and print their rank cards, as hard copies will not be dispatched.
The rank card will display the candidate's score, rank, and percentile. Following result declaration, COMEDK will announce the counselling schedule for the centralised admission process (CAP).
