The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2026 Round I offers have been released on May 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM on the official website, coap2026.iitr.ac.in. Candidates who qualified in GATE 2026 and registered on the COAP portal can now check their M.Tech admission and PSU job offers online. Candidates must submit their decision within the allotted time window ending on May 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM.
COAP serves as the centralized platform for GATE-qualified candidates seeking admission to M.Tech programs at IITs and other premier institutes, along with PSU recruitment opportunities. Candidates are advised to carefully review all offers before making a final decision, as no response within the deadline will lead to automatic rejection of all offers for that round.

Important Tips for Candidates
Candidates are advised to compare offers carefully based on institute reputation, specialization, placement opportunities, and career goals before taking a final decision. The “Retain & Wait” option can be used strategically to explore better offers in future rounds, but it can only be used twice for the same offer.
From Round 5 onwards, candidates will only have two options - Accept & Freeze or Reject, making later rounds more decisive. Proper planning and timely decision-making can help candidates secure admission to their preferred IIT or program.
