Chitkara University has announced the opening of Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and PhD admissions for the 2026 academic cycle. Candidates seeking entry into programs across management, engineering, design, health sciences, hospitality and doctoral research can now apply online.

The university has outlined specific eligibility rules, document requirements and selection stages for each category. Applicants must submit their forms before the deadline to avoid rejection, and shortlisted students will be called for counselling and personal interaction rounds.

Chitkara University offers a wide range of UG programs across Engineering, Business, Design, Health Sciences, Hospitality and more. Fee structure for these programs is available in the university’s official fee handbook. For example, B.E. Computer Science Engineering carries a semester-wise program fee of ₹1,00,000 and ETS/CAS charges of ₹50,000 as per the 2025 fee layout.

Similarly, professional programs like BBA, B.Com, B.Des, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, etc., have separate fee charts listed on pages 6–15 of the handbook. Students are advised to review the detailed semester-wise fee breakup before applying.

Admission to the MBA program at Chitkara Business School is open to candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university. Final-year students can also apply, but they must submit their graduation proof by September 30, 2026, otherwise their admission will be cancelled.

Applicants with any compartment are not eligible, and work experience is not required. The selection process is based on scores from CAT, MAT, NMAT, XAT or CMAT, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates who do not have any of these test scores must appear for the Chitkara University Test along with the GD/PI round.

Chitkara University follows the UGC PhD Regulations 2022 for its doctoral admissions. Applicants can qualify through multiple academic pathways, including a 1-year master’s degree after a 4-year bachelor’s degree, or a traditional 2-year master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s program.

Candidates with qualifications considered equivalent to a master’s degree by recognised statutory bodies are also eligible, provided they have 55% aggregate marks. Those holding a foreign degree from an accredited institution may apply as well.

Additionally, candidates with a 4-year bachelor’s degree and at least 75% marks can seek admission if they also have a minimum of four years of full-time teaching, research, or industry experience, and are currently working in an institution or organisation approved by AICTE or UGC. Relaxations in eligibility are available for reserved categories as per UGC norms.
