The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has begun the second phase of PhD admission for the 2025-26 academic session, inviting eligible candidates to apply online. The admission process is open across multiple departments and is being conducted as per UGC Regulations 2022.

Selection will be based on national-level eligibility tests, followed by an offline interview. Interested applicants must complete the registration process within the prescribed timeline to be considered for admission.

Central University of Rajasthan, a central university established under the Central Universities Act, 2009, has invited applications for Phase 2 of its PhD admission process. The university is offering doctoral programmes in various disciplines for the 2025-26 session.

Who is Eligible to Apply for CURAJ PhD 2025-26?

CURAJ will admit PhD scholars based on the UGC-NET 2025 framework, as outlined in the UGC public notice dated March 27, 2024. Eligible candidates fall under the following categories:

  • Category 1: Eligible for PhD admission with JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor
  • Category 2: Eligible for PhD admission without JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor
  • Category 3: Eligible for PhD admission only
  • Category 4: Candidates qualified in GATE / JEST / GPAT (preference given to Categories 1–3)

All applicants must meet department-specific eligibility criteria, and the validity of national-level qualification will be checked as per the admission notification date.

The selection process for PhD admission at CURAJ involves multiple stages. First, the university will verify documents uploaded by candidates during registration. Based on eligibility, candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage.

Shortlisted applicants must appear for an offline interview/viva-voce at the CURAJ campus. Online interviews will not be conducted under any circumstances. Final merit lists will be prepared following Government of India reservation policies, and preference will be given to NET-qualified candidates.

  • EWS / OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD: ₹750
