CENTAC NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Registration Deadline Extended to October 6; Check Steps to Apply

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry has extended the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 Round 3 registration deadline. The revised cutoff is October 6, 2026, by 5:00 PM. The official notice was issued on October 5, 2026 at centacpuducherry.in. The committee has stated that no further extension will be granted.

The extension covers two distinct windows. The first is fresh Round 3 registration for eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates. The second is the withdrawal window for candidates already admitted in Round 1 or Round 2. Both activities must close by the same October 6, 2026, 5:00 PM cutoff.

CENTAC cited new vacancies for the extension. These vacancies arose after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released its All India Round 3 allotment. Several Puducherry-state candidates moved to seats in other states. The exits opened fresh MBBS and BDS seats across participating medical and dental colleges in the Union Territory.

Who Can Apply in CENTAC Round 3?

Candidates eligible under the Puducherry state quota can register in Round 3. The seat pool covers government and self-financing medical and dental institutions. Candidates must have a valid NEET UG 2026 scorecard and meet CENTAC eligibility norms.

Aspirants who missed earlier rounds but now qualify under the revised vacancy pool can also apply. Previous CENTAC login credentials remain active. Fresh registrants must complete the full CENTAC enrolment process before the deadline.

Vacancy and Course Details

CENTAC publishes a revised seat matrix before every round. The Round 3 matrix lists college-wise, category-wise, and quota-wise vacant seats. The pool includes MBBS and BDS seats across participating institutions in Puducherry.

Deemed universities and All India Quota seats are outside the CENTAC pool. The committee advises candidates to study the seat matrix before choice filling. The preference order will decide the final allotment under the merit list.

How to Register for CENTAC NEET UG Round 3 2026?

1. Visit the official portal at centacpuducherry.in.
2. Log in using existing CENTAC credentials or sign up as a new candidate.
3. Open the Round 3 registration form and fill in all required fields.
4. Pay the registration fee as per the fee schedule on the portal.
5. Submit the form and download the confirmation receipt for records.

How to Withdraw a Round 1 or Round 2 Allotted Seat?

Candidates must submit a Resignation Request Letter in the Annexure 17 format. The letter must be uploaded through the Candidate Login Dashboard. The upload must reach CENTAC before 5:00 PM on October 6, 2026.

Withdrawals filed before the cutoff carry no forfeiture fee. Requests received after the cutoff will attract the standard forfeiture charge. Candidates should save the acknowledgement for all future references and admission-related queries.
