The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry, has extended the last date to register for the B.Tech Lateral Entry 2026 admissions. Candidates can now submit their applications until June 11, 2026, by 5:00 PM on the official portal at centacpuducherry.in/UgLateralEntry_2026.
The extension was notified on June 5, 2026. It applies to admissions in government and self-financing engineering colleges in Puducherry. The admission notification was first issued on May 25, 2026.
CENTAC operates under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Puducherry. It coordinates centralised admissions to UG and PG programmes across the Union Territory.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
The lateral entry route is meant for diploma holders and science graduates. Only residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry can apply through CENTAC.
- A three-year diploma or four-year sandwich diploma in Engineering or Technology, OR
- A B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- A minimum of 45 percent marks in the qualifying examination.
Candidates who clear these criteria join the B.Tech programme directly in the second year. Seat distribution follows the Puducherry reservation policy.
