IIT Bombay has extended the last registration date till November 18, 2024, 5 PM with a late fee of INR 500 for the CEED Exam 2025. Candidates will appear for the exam on January 19, 2025.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2025, offering additional time for aspiring design students to complete their applications. Originally scheduled to end on October 31, 2024, the regular registration deadline has now passed, but applicants can still register with a late fee of INR 500 until November 18, 2024, 5:00 PM IST. Candidates must appear for the CEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025.

Key Highlights of the CEED Exam 2025

  1. New Institutes Join the CEED Result Sharing List:

    Jain University, Alliance University, and the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design & Technology have joined the list of CEED’s result-sharing institutions. By doing so, they recognize CEED as an eligibility criteria for admission, allowing applicants to explore opportunities in these renowned institutions based on their CEED scores.

  2. CEED Exam Overview:

    CEED is a gateway to M.Des programs offered by top Indian institutions, including IITs, IISc, and other premier design institutes.

  3. Eligibility and Application Process:

    To apply for CEED, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent in design, architecture, fine arts, engineering, or a related field. Final-year students in these programs are also eligible. The application process is online through the official CEED portal, where candidates must submit personal information, academic details, and a scanned photograph and signature, along with the application fee payment.

  4. Application Fees:
    • Regular Application Fee: INR 3,600 for General/OBC candidates and INR 1,800 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
    • Late Registration Fee (after October 31): INR 4,100 for General/OBC candidates and INR 2,300 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  5. Exam Pattern:

    The CEED examination consists of two parts:

    • Part A: Computer-based objective questions that test analytical and visual skills, including multiple-choice and numerical questions.
    • Part B: Includes drawing and design questions that gauge creativity, drawing skills, and visual communication abilities.

  6. CEED 2025 Result and Score Validity:

    The CEED 2025 score is valid for one year from the date of result announcement, allowing candidates the flexibility to apply to different design schools within this time frame.
