Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (CCSU, Meerut) is preparing to conduct last year exams of its UG and PG from 20 August 2020.
As per sources, CCSU will decide the schedule of examinations in the upcoming week. A total of 1.90 Lakh students of the and its associated degree colleges are waiting for their final exams to be conducted.
However, some students and parents refused to accept the guidelines of UGC and filed a petition in the supreme court against the guidelines of UGC for the conduct of the exam.
Meanwhile, UGC is constantly advocating the conduct of final examinations for the final year students as necessary
Reduction in Time Duration of Examination
One of the key steps which have been taken by CCSU, Meerut is that the question paper for the final year exams for UG and PG has been reduced.
After the reduction, the examination of UG will now only be of 90 minutes duration. While for PG students, the duration of the examination will be of 120 minutes.

Declaration of Result
As per the suggestions by UP government, all universities and colleges in the state have been asked to release the semester results of final year examination by 15 October 2020 and the results of other examinations by 30 October 2020.
Moreover, the state government has also suggested promoting the students who are not in their final year.
The government has directed universities to release the result on this formula for which some universities have also formed a committee to release the results.
