CCMT Counselling 2026 Registration Begins; Check Complete Schedule

The Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) 2026 has opened registration for counselling. Candidates who appeared for GATE 2026 and are eligible can now register and fill their choice preferences. The registration window starts on May 15, 2026 at 10 AM and closes on June 5, 2026 at 5:30 PM. Choice filling will continue until June 8, 2026 at 5:30 PM. This is your opportunity to secure admission to M.Tech programmes across premier engineering institutes in India.

The entire counselling process is conducted online through the official portal. You need to register, pay the registration fee, fill your choice preferences, and then wait for seat allotment. The process includes three regular rounds, special rounds, and a national spot round, giving you multiple opportunities to get your preferred institute and programme.

Important Dates for Phase 1 (Regular Rounds)

How to Register and Fill Choices?

Visit ccmt.admissions.nic.in and click on the registration link. Enter your GATE roll number and other required details. Create your login credentials. Pay the registration fee online through UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking. Once registered, log in and navigate to the choice filling section. Select your preferred institutes and programmes in order of preference. You can modify your choices as many times as you want until the deadline. Lock your choices before June 8 at 5:30 PM. If you don't lock manually, your choices will be automatically locked on the deadline.

What Happens After Choice Filling?

After the choice filling deadline, the allotment process begins. Round 1 allotment will be announced on June 12, 2026. If you get a seat, you need to pay the seat acceptance fee and upload documents for verification. You can choose to Freeze, Float, or Slide based on your admission preference. If you don't get a seat in Round 1, you'll be considered in Round 2 on June 22 and Round 3 on June 27.

Special Rounds and National Spot Round

If you don't get a seat in the three regular rounds, you can participate in special rounds starting July 14, 2026. The national spot round begins on August 1, 2026. These rounds give you additional chances to secure admission. Physical reporting at your allotted institute starts after the national spot round concludes.
