CCMT 2026 Dates Announced; Registration Begins May 15 for MTech Admission

The Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan Admissions (CCMT) 2026 schedule has been officially released on ccmt.admissions.nic.in. Online registration, fee payment, and choice filling will commence on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM IST. The last date for online registration and fee payment is Friday, June 5, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. The last date for choice filling and locking is Monday, June 8, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. Round 1 seat allotment will be announced on Friday, June 12, 2026. The schedule comprises three phases: Regular Rounds (Phase I), Special Rounds (Phase II), and National Spot Round (Phase III) to ensure comprehensive seat allocation.

CCMT 2026 is a common platform for GATE qualified candidates to apply for M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan programs in NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and participating IIITs and CFTIs. CCMT 2026 Regular Rounds (Phase I) Detailed Timeline

The Regular Rounds of CCMT 2026 comprise three main rounds of seat allotment. Registration and choice filling commence on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM IST and candidates can register until Friday, June 5, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. Candidates must lock their choices by Monday, June 8, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. Any choices not locked by this deadline will be automatically locked. Round 1 seat allotment will be announced on Friday, June 12, 2026, and candidates must complete document verification by Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST.

Round 2 seat allotment will be announced on Monday, June 22, 2026, with document verification deadline on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. Round 3 seat allotment will be announced on Saturday, June 27, 2026, with document verification deadline on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 12:30 PM IST. After all regular rounds, candidates must pay partial admission fee between Thursday, July 2 and Monday, July 6, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST for confirmation of their allotted seats.

CCMT 2026 Special Rounds (Phase II) Schedule

Special Rounds of CCMT 2026 will commence after the Regular Rounds conclude. Vacant seats will be announced on Monday, July 13, 2026 at the CCMT web portal. Online registration for Special Rounds will start on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 with the last date being Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. Choice filling deadline for Special Rounds is Monday, July 20, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. Special Round 1 seat allotment will be announced on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 with document verification deadline on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST.

Special Round 2 seat allotment will be announced on Monday, July 27, 2026 with document verification deadline on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 12:30 PM IST. Candidates can withdraw from admitted institutes between Sunday, July 26 and Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. Physical reporting at finally allotted institutes will commence after the National Spot Round concludes.

CCMT 2026 National Spot Round (Phase III) Schedule

The National Spot Round (NSR) of CCMT 2026 will be the final phase of counselling. Vacant seats will be announced on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Fresh registration for NSR will start on Saturday, August 1, 2026 with the last date being Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 12:30 PM IST. Choice filling deadline for NSR is Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST. NSR seat allotment will be announced on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Document verification for NSR candidates must be completed by Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST.

Physical reporting at finally allotted institutes will commence on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 and continue until Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Admitted candidates from all rounds (Regular, Special, and NSR) must deposit the balance fee during this period. For the latest date about the starting of classes, candidates should visit the website of their finally allotted institute.

Important Information for CCMT 2026 Candidates

Candidates must have a valid GATE score from 2024, 2025, or 2026 to participate in CCMT 2026. Registration is entirely online through ccmt.admissions.nic.in. Candidates can unlock their registration until Friday, June 5, 2026 at 5:30 PM IST if they need to make changes. Choice filling allows candidates to select their preferred institutes and programs in order of preference. Choices not locked by the deadline will be automatically locked by the system.
